Homemade Egg Rolls
Ingredients:
- 3 pounds ground turkey
- 2 packs egg roll wrappers
- 2 bags tri-colored slaw mix
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- Sesame oil, to taste
- Soy sauce, to taste
- Salt and pepper (snp), to taste
- Garlic powder, to taste
- Chicken bouillon, to taste
Instructions:
- Cook the Turkey:
- In a large skillet, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
- Add Vegetables and Seasonings:
- Add the tri-colored slaw mix and thinly sliced onions to the skillet with the cooked turkey.
- Season with sesame oil, soy sauce, salt and pepper, garlic powder, and chicken bouillon to taste.
- Cook the mixture until the vegetables are tender but not mushy.
- Prepare the Egg Rolls:
- Lay an egg roll wrapper in a diamond shape (♦️) on a clean, dry surface.
- Place about 1.5 tablespoons of the cooked mixture in the center of the wrapper.
- Follow the rolling method as directed on the package, or check out my video on Facebook to learn my “baseball method.”
- Fry the Egg Rolls:
- In a large pot or deep fryer, heat about 8 cups of oil over medium-low heat. The oil should be hot but not too high to avoid burning the egg rolls.
- Fry the egg rolls in batches, turning halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Drain and Serve:
- Remove the fried egg rolls from the oil and drain on a cooling rack or paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Enjoy your delicious homemade egg rolls!
