Grilled Chicken Wings with a Quick Marinade
Ingredients:
- 1 kg chicken wings
- 1 medium onion
- 1 tablespoon tomato sauce or 2 peeled tomatoes
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 5 large garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ¼ cup oil
- 2 tablespoons molasses or honey (whichever is available)
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon mixed spices
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon thyme
Instructions:
- Prepare the Marinade:
- In a blender, combine the chopped onion, tomato sauce (or peeled tomatoes), mixed spices, oil, garlic, and other marinade ingredients.
- Blend until you achieve a smooth marinade. If needed, add ¼ cup of water to get a perfect sauce consistency.
- Marinate the Chicken Wings:
- Add the chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or longer if you have more time.
- Cook the Wings:
- Place the marinated chicken wings in a baking dish.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (about 390°F) for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and golden brown.
