Ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tablespoon tomato sauce or 2 peeled tomatoes
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 5 large garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 2 tablespoons molasses or honey (whichever is available)
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon mixed spices
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon thyme

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade:
    • In a blender, combine the chopped onion, tomato sauce (or peeled tomatoes), mixed spices, oil, garlic, and other marinade ingredients.
    • Blend until you achieve a smooth marinade. If needed, add ¼ cup of water to get a perfect sauce consistency.
  2. Marinate the Chicken Wings:
    • Add the chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated.
    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or longer if you have more time.
  3. Cook the Wings:
    • Place the marinated chicken wings in a baking dish.
    • Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (about 390°F) for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and golden brown.
