Lemon Lush Dessert
Ingredients:
Crust:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Cream Cheese Layer:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup whipped topping (Cool Whip)
Lemon Pudding Layer:
- 2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant lemon pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
Topping:
- 2 cups whipped topping (Cool Whip)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, melted butter, and powdered sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden brown. Let it cool completely.
- Cream Cheese Layer:
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in the whipped topping until well combined.
- Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
- Lemon Pudding Layer:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant lemon pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes, until thickened.
- Spread the pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer.
- Topping:
- Spread the remaining whipped topping evenly over the lemon pudding layer.
- Chill and Serve:
- Refrigerate the Lemon Lush Dessert for at least 2 hours, or until set.
- Before serving, you can garnish with lemon zest or slices, if desired.
