Garlic Flatbreads
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (or regular yogurt)
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- Fresh herbs (optional, such as parsley or cilantro), chopped
Instructions:
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the Greek yogurt and mix until a dough forms. The dough should be soft and slightly sticky. If it’s too dry, add a little more yogurt; if too wet, add a bit more flour.
- Shape the Dough:
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball, then flatten each ball into a round flatbread about 1/4 inch thick. You can use your hands or a rolling pin for this step.
- Prepare the Garlic Oil:
- In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic with olive oil or melted butter. Set aside.
- Cook the Flatbreads:
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place one of the flatbreads in the skillet and cook for about 1-2 minutes on one side, until bubbles start to form and the bottom is golden brown. Flip the flatbread and cook for another 1-2 minutes on the other side.
- Add Garlic Flavor:
- Once the flatbread is cooked, remove it from the skillet and brush one side with the garlic oil mixture. Sprinkle with fresh herbs if desired.
- Repeat:
- Repeat the cooking process with the remaining flatbreads.
- Serve:
- Serve the garlic flatbreads warm. They can be enjoyed on their own, with dips, or as a side to your favorite dishes.
These Garlic Flatbreads are quick to make and full of flavor. Enjoy them fresh off the skillet for the best taste!
