Fried Cabbage with Bacon, Onion, and Garlic
Ingredients:
- 6 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 large onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large head of cabbage, cored and chopped
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
Instructions:
- Cook the Bacon:
- In a large skillet or frying pan, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the skillet.
- Sauté the Onion and Garlic:

- Cook the Cabbage:

- Season and Finish:
- Season the cabbage with salt, black pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes, if using. Stir well to combine.
- Add the cooked bacon back to the skillet and stir to mix it into the cabbage.
